Frequently Asked Questions
  • 1. Why are Boston Reed courses so much shorter and cheaper than other colleges?
  • Boston Reed partners with other adult schools, which assist us with classrooms and teachers enabling us to keep costs down and pass the savings on to the student. In addition, Boston Reed offers courses in segments, e.g... Clinical Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EKG, etc. Our courses are fast-paced and aimed at the working adult. They are designed to get the student working in the field of their choice as quickly as possible.
  • 2. Does Boston Reed offer job placement?
  • We do not offer job placement but we do provide externship placement. Many times our students are hired on from their externships. This is the student's chance to make an impression.
  • 3. Is Boston Reed an accredited school?
  • We are not required to be. Any course that is offered through an adult education center would be accredited under that school. For instance, courses held at the Martinez Adult Education Center fall under their accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The student can check with the school they will be attending for their accreditation status.
We are approved by the Bureau for Private Post Secondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE). All courses are registered, with the exception of Vocational Nursing which is approved. Vocational Nursing is also accredited the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technician examiners (BVNPT).
  • 4. What is the success rate of students finding work upon completion of our courses?
  • About 85% of students responding to inquiry about getting a job are finding one successfully.

This letter must be submitted to the enrollment department by email, mail or fax along with the course application.
  • 7. How will I know if my enrollment was accepted?

When students register by mailing or faxing in applications, once enrolled, confirmation letters are mailed out. Confirmation letters are sent out on a daily basis.
