Getting Informed - About the Leadership Development Program

Coaching cycle: Action, Assessment, Reflection & Planning, ActionThe program assesses your on-the-job performance in terms of the California Professional Standards for Education Leaders. You work with your mentor to create an Individualized Development Plan - a series of on-the-job and other experiences keyed to specific leadership development objectives and designed to improve your administrative skills. Expect to spend several hours in contact with your mentor each month, assessing your performance, reflecting and planning, and taking new actions.

Four times per year, your mentor gives you a Progress Summary. You always know where you stand in terms of the program's minimum completion standards. Mentoring services run through two school years. If you should meet the minimum completion standards early, you continue to benefit from regular, supportive interaction from some of California's ablest adult educators.

In addition to your mentor, you'll be introduced to adult educators recognized for their skills in particular administrative areas, such as budgeting, personnel, and community involvement in the school. Your network will further increase as we connect program participants in a network for new adult school administrators. The current price for this Professional Clear Administrative Services Credential program is $6,495.
